The Dr. Mérieux Museum of Biological Sciences welcomes you to Marcy-l’Étoile, in the Greater Lyon area, to experience the great epic of biology! Here is all the practical information you need to plan your visit.


The Museum is open:
Tuesdays, upon reservation, for school and adult groups (at least 3 weeks in advance).
Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for all audiences, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Sundays, for all audiences (at least 24 hours in advance).

The Museum is not open on public holidays.


Full price: €6
Reduced price: €3 (for large families, job seekers, people with disabilities, students at establishments in the Greater Lyon area upon presentation of their student ID)
Tarif groupe : 150 (max. 20 personnes)
Free: Children under 12

Accepted discount cards:
Pass’Région, Lyon City Card.

Via public transport: bus 98 (“Parc de Lacroix Laval” stop), bus 72 (“Marcy l’Orme” stop).


The museum is accessible to people with limited mobility.
There is a disabled parking spot for you.


The museum doesn’t have a cafeteria or picnic room but is a 5-minute walk away from Lacroix-Laval Parc, which has picnic tables and sheltered areas in case of bad weather.
